Books read in 2024.

With 2024 firmly behind us, I thought reviewing my year in books would be a cool idea. 2024 continued as 2023 ended, my head firmly back in the world of fiction.

Despite reading 26 books in 2023, I didn’t want to pressurise myself by setting a high target in 2024. Instead, I doubled my 2023 pledge and set the goal for twelve.

In the end, I read as many as 2023. I finished twenty-six books in 2024, most of which were fiction. In comparison to last year, I only read a couple of non-fiction books.

I didn’t find any “new favourite” authors this year. I read a few new authors, but none really stood out. None captured my interest enough for me to want to read any of their other novels.

Something I hadn’t done before but thought would be interesting was to list the twelve books I wanted to read. Spoiler alert: I didn’t read all the books I listed in this post:

You can find my reviews on the website, although I haven’t finished writing all of them. (I’ve got some serious backlog).

Without further ado, here’s a recap of what I read.
